Africa Reading Challenge

“I have absolutely no reason for hosting nor urging you to participate in this challenge save for the joy of discovering and reading African literature!”

The Challenge: To read five books about Africa, three of which must be by African authors.

You are also encouraged to:

  • Cover at least two regions
  • Include translated fiction from (Arabic, Francophone, Lusophone)
  • Mix classic and contemporary fiction
  • Read at least one work of fiction if you plan to read mostly non-fiction
